Hanna Shelest
Head of the BoardHanna Shelest is a Non-resident Senior Fellow with the Transatlantic Defense and Security program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA). Hanna Shelest, PhD, is the Director of Security Programmes at the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism” and Editor-in-chief at UA: Ukraine Analytica. Before this, she had served for more than ten years as a Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Ukraine, Odesa Branch. In 2014, Dr Shelest was a Visiting Research Fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome. Dr Shelest was an adviser of the Working Group preparing Ukrainian Navy Strategy 2035 and was involved in working groups developing the Foreign Policy Strategy of Ukraine, Asian Strategy for MFA, and Ukraine’s NATO Public Communication Strategy. She led different policy-related projects, among others: Scorecards of the Ukrainian Foreign Policy (2015-2021); Ukraine-NATO: Enhanced Level (2021-2022); The Hybrid War Decade: Lessons Learned to Move Forward Successfully (2019), Ukraine’s Elections in Focus (2019); Foreign Policy Recommendations for the Parliament of Ukraine (2017-2021).

Deputy DirectorPhD in Sociology Applied sociologist with over 15 years of experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative research. Her core competencies include the implementation of nationwide representative surveys, facilitation and moderation of focus group discussions and in-depth interviews, as well as data analysis and preparation of analytical reports for national and international stakeholders. Tetiana has extensive expertise in monitoring and evaluation of social, humanitarian, and cultural programs, particularly within international development projects. A distinct area of her professional engagement involves working with local communities in the southern region of Odesa Oblast, with a focus on assessing local needs and participating in cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening social cohesion and community development. Member of the Bureau of the Sociological Association of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Evaluation Association (UEA).

Natalia Kryvosheia
Sociological Project CoordinatorMA in Sociology Holds a Master's degree in Sociology and has practical experience in coordinating applied research projects. Her responsibilities include recruiting participants for focus groups, managing fieldwork logistics, and maintaining communication with respondents and clients. Natalia also supports the team by transcribing interviews and focus group discussions, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring smooth organizational processes throughout the project cycle. She works on a variety of projects, ranging from cultural and educational initiatives to community-based social research.
Viktoriia Balasanyan
Sociological Project CoordinatorShe conducts social research and prepares analytical reports. Author and Co-author of analytical and scientific publications in such fields as local democracy, prevention and resolution of conflicts, development of capable communities, civil society and local self-government, public participation and self-organization.
